Learn to cycle FAQ

Typhoon signal 3 or above, red or black rainstorm warning, or (kids express class) air-quality risk “Very High” or “Serious”: class is cancelled — choose a refund or rebook yourself to another open session of the same class (no rebooking deadline). Amber rainstorm or thunderstorm warning: stop riding and move under cover for briefing and balance drills. Very hot weather: water break every 15 minutes. If we cancel, we WhatsApp you 2 hours before; no message means class goes ahead.
Before 00:00 two calendar days prior (e.g. before Thursday 00:00 for a Saturday class), use your participant link to move to another open session of the same class — no extra request needed. After that deadline we don’t accept changes or refunds. Weather cancellations are exempt. If illness or injury with a valid medical note keeps you away, WhatsApp us for a refund or one rebooking within a month of the cancelled date.
Sportswear and closed-toe shoes, plus drinking water. Bikes (fitted by height) and helmets come from the kiosk; kids express classes also get knee and elbow pads. Outdoor hats don’t replace a helmet. Bring trainers for weekday daytime classes.
Cycling Crash Course (Kids)(100–150cm), Cycling Crash Course (Over 12)(ages 13–60). Please give height when booking so we can reserve the right bike and helmet.
One coach per class: Cycling Crash Course (Kids) up to 6, Cycling Crash Course (Over 12) up to 8. Riders are split into four ability levels across practice zones.
Yes — most riders start from scratch. Level 1 begins with balance scooting; kids can train without pedals like a balance bike.
For kids express classes a parent or pick-up adult must stay on site until the coach returns the child. You’re welcome to watch, but please don’t join the drills or give parallel instructions. Coaches only hand children back to the adult named at booking.
The coach stops the whole class. Minor scrapes are cleaned on site and parents/emergency contacts are told at once; head impacts or suspected fractures mean we call 999, then follow up the next day.
Each rider’s name, age, height, riding experience, emergency contact (parent/pick-up for kids), and any health notes for the coach. The booker accepts the terms and risk waiver for everyone; under-18s need a parent to book or their authorisation.
Pay by card or Alipay HK. Fees are non-transferable and non-refundable if you miss class. Exceptions: weather or site-safety cancellations (refund or rebook), and illness/injury with a valid medical note (refund or one rebooking).
